Well at some point you just have to find strength and wisdom to just take a step back and see what people are doing with their lives from the position of the observer. There is no point nor it is welcome - to interfere, even though you know what is happening. It is just not needed as everyone has to learn their own lessons. Hard to do it with family and those who you actually care about...
